According to Silca, their all-metal floor pump gauge is the only gauge featuring a FULL metal construction. Silca could have gone for lighter, cheaper components but instead added more metal by reinforcing some of the internals, to improve shock resistance.
The internal mechanism uses a diaphragm instead of a less expensive Bourdon tube, the needle is stabilized with a beautifully polished steel plate.
